Caprese Salad

 3-4 ripe tomatoes, sliced
 8 ounces (225g) fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
 Fresh basil leaves
 Extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling
 Balsamic vinegar or glaze (optional), for drizzling
 Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Arrange the Ingredients:

On a large platter, alternate slices of tomato and mozzarella cheese, slightly overlapping them for a visually appealing presentation.
Tuck whole basil leaves between the tomato and cheese slices or sprinkle smaller leaves over the top.

Seasoning:

Drizzle extra virgin olive oil generously over the tomato and mozzarella slices. If you're using balsamic vinegar or glaze, drizzle it lightly across the salad as well.
Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
